Can you guess who is little bit excited about The Hobbit movie?

When I first saw the picture of Thorin I thought he looked too young and it bothered me. But after I watched the trailer Richard Armitage got convinced me about his role performance as Thorin. And his singing voice is absolutely amazing!

I don't remember it going like that. The full lyrics is in the Hobbit book:

Far over the Misty Mountains cold,
In dungeons deep, and caverns old,
We must away ere break of day,
To seek the pale enchanted gold.

I think the other lines you wrote are later in the song, but definately not right after "To dungeons deep and caverns old. I think the artwork is good though.

True, but these lyrics (in the picture) are from the Hobbit trailer.
The full poem wouldn't have fit into the picture, so I had to use the trailer version instead.

But thanks anyway (:

I thought he sang more in the trailer. At least it sounds better than the cartoon version, the cartoon version has the lyrics word for word, but it's... cheesy.

Yeah, everything sounds better than the cartoon version XD

I hope they will do the whole poem in the soundtrack, 'cause Richard Armitage has so awesome voice and I would love to hear him singing the full song.

I never knew who Richard Armitage was before the trailer, but even now I only know his name.

Gorgeous!

Note: "winds" should be "wind"--that way, we annoyingly anal-retentive types won't get distracted by it. ;)

Oh, I haven't even noticed there was mistake, thanks for pointing it out! (:

(When I posted the picture, I checked like hundred times that there wouldn't be any misspelling, but it seems like I didn't saw all of my mistakes :''D)

Yeah, one of the things I still value from the fanfic world of fifteen years ago was that we could get several volunteers to beta-read EVERYTHING before we posted it. Even if we avoided typos, there are SO many innocent phrases that come out wrong to an outside eye--like someone "bringing up their breakfast" (carrying or vomiting?). David Langford collects these from published books--not typos but, you know, brainos--under the heading "Thog's Masterclass" in his sf e-zine ANSIBLE.

There is no perfection, as they say, under heaven, but I like to think we're the better for it. Both laughing and wincing are good for us. ;)

Great portrait !

I'm excited too for the movie ! It's true that he isn't exatcly an actor I'd thought of as a dwarf, but he's convincing enough in the trailer !
